Invisible fences works by installing a transmitter and a thin concealed wire around your yard. A professional installer can help with this. The transmitter works together with the wire to create a barrier where a traditional fence would normally be. Your dog is then fitted with a special collar. If the dog comes too close to the invisible fence line, a slight shock is emitted to stop the dog.
